“Hello, my name is Rich Pfister, a Certified General Appraiser and President of WorkSmart Ventures, LLC. About ten years ago, our appraisal office used a nationally recognized appraisal software platform that was simple, Excel and Word based, and easy to customize. Then the company moved their product to the internet—and everything changed, for the worse.

What used to be simple became complicated.

What was once customizable became rigid.

And what was once mine—my data—was now in the cloud, likely being harvested for someone else’s use.

Finally, I had enough.

So in late 2018, I used my prior VBA programming experience to begin building what had been lost—while improving on it at the same time: an appraisal platform that is simple to use, built on Excel and Word, customizable, and keeps my data exactly that—mine.

After our office completed more than 3,000 commercial and agricultural appraisals using my appraisal software, a vision has become a reality.  And now I'd like to share that reality with you—and others in the real estate industry.
